A cursory search suggested that this clip had not yet been posted to the forum... so, here it is.

Am I correct in thinking that the steel player is Alvin Kaleolani Isaacs?

Let's get some more threads on those 1930s greats going!

I have a posed still shot from the beach side performance. The National steel guitar player seems to be Alvin, with Ray Kinney vocal and uke. The line up is slightly different in the photo with Tommy Castro in the group also. It includes the caption about FDR's visit.

Vintage '30s steel guitar videos are rare as hens teeth, but I'll share a couple '30s guys I like a bunch.

Here is a 1949 "soundie." Mostly dancers, but there are short clips of the players here and there. https://archive.org/details/56004-hawaiin-rhythm
