Just bought mine back from the guy who basically had it in a closet for 7 years...where should I add some lube (I have the Williams Needle Oiler)?

I put a drop between each top surface on the changer when I changed the strings...and on the squeak in the B-pedal linkage...

Many connections (pedals, levers) are delrin, would oil be bad/unnecessary for those?

Do I lube the interior changer fingers where they move over each other? Etc.??

Here's what I do; I like this photo collection by forum member Greg Cutshaw. Works for me; I too use a Williams needle Triflow device.

Hi John,

Real quick, if it's Delrin, it doesn't need to be lubed from what I know.

Sounds like you've got all the other places covered.

In general, a small (SMALL) drop of oil between each plate of the changer fingers (from the top) is sufficient for changer lubrication.

Nut rollers are good to lube, I take them off the axle, lube the axle rod, wipe off the excess and reinstall teh rollers, and reinstall the assembly into the guitar.

In general, anywhere it's metal on metal. Main point is to use it sparingly.

Wow, thanks! Since the Williams mostly uses Delrin for rubbing surfaces, I think I mostly will just have to crawl under and try to reach the changer plates...keeping the steel upright so the oil flows down into it as I use it...
I'm reluctant to oil some of the other stuff...e.g., the pedal/rod linkages...they seem fine and I don't want to create dust magnets in those places...

Dumb question: If Delrin doesn’t need to be lubed, has anyone ever used that between the changer fingers?
