Great question -- I love my Freeloader but if I leave it plugged it kills the battery. Thinking of modding it for a power switch.

The FreeLoader does not have an on off switch. I treat the top input jack as the on/off switch. It's endlessly reliable and gives a good visual from a distance whether it's powered on or off. Also, it gets about 500 hours on a fresh battery, so it's not really a big deal to leave it on for extended periods.

Agreed. A quick glance from across the room, or from the hallway at home, tells me if it's on or off. When it goes in my pack-a-seat, along with lots of other stuff, no worries about a switch being left on, accidentally being turned on, broken, etc.
