Description at the bottom.
I am parting with my All Pull Marlen D10. It's a 2003 (ish) guitar, which makes it one of the last Marlens to come out of the factory. It is NOT a pull-release. The later Marlens were equipped with an all-pull changer. I've been told it's a Kline influence/designed changer. This is one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever played, but it’s time to move it on down the road. It is standard Emmons set-up. E’s on the left, raise 1&2 on RKL, lower 2&9 RKR, and lower 5&10 on LKV. This guitar has the standard equipped George L pickups. I thought I was going to change them out, but I changed my mind as soon as I played it. Tonally, this guitar has the woody sound of a Sho-Bud, and the high end clarity of an Emmons. It’s not lacking at all in the tone department. Playability: It plays very easily. Very comparable to the action of a Mullen.
This guitar has upgraded knee lever stops. It’s the barrel nut concept you see on Emmons Push Pull guitars. Very Simplistic, very reliable. This has resulted in the knee levers having a positive and consistent stop every time.
Cabinet Drop: I’m a huge believer in full disclosure, so I want to be transparent as possible. This guitar does have some cabinet drop, somewhere around five cents at the worst. It never really bothered me that much. I just tuned around it and compensated for it, just like we all do with our steels. It’s nothing out of the ordinary.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in near perfect condition. Definitely one of the most beautiful guitars out there. No huge dents, scratches, or bruises. If there are any, they have not been large enough for me to notice, and I’m pretty observant of my guitars.
I am located in South Texas. Two hours south of San Antonio, and an hour north of Corpus Christi. Shipping will have to be Fed-Ex. I have had bad experiences with UPS. With that being said, it may be possible to meet up with a Texas buyer, depending on the area and proximity. $3200 + shipping (if necessary.) My cell phone is 361-445-7044. If you’d like more information about the guitar or more pictures, please contact me anytime. Thank you for the inquiry. |
