Start The New Year right with another Steel Guitar.
Due to a medical condition that I’m told has no cure and will progress I don’t expect to be playing again.
I will be selling most of my instruments over the next few months.
These next two posts for starters;
The last left for now is my Promat D-10 with 8&4. Asking $3,850.00 OBO plus the ride.
Reasonable offers will be considered.

The tuning is almost standard Emmons E9th and C6th.
Exception is on the E9th neck I have my 2nd and 9th strings tuned to C# with the RKR raising them to D & Eb. I think Weldon did the same according to Winnie's book, but I ain't no player like he was.
RKL raises the 1st string to G# and lowers the 6th string to F#.
LKL Raises E's to F and LKR lowered E's to Eb.
The C6th is standard with one RKR lowering the 3rd string to B and RKL raising the 3rd string to C#. The first string is the high G.
I think the pickups are Wallace, but never had them out so not sure about that.
Was told this was number 11 of the 27 that Mister Papic built.
I replaced the fretboards with the chrome edged Emmons.
It has the brackets for use with an Emmons volume pedal and most Emmons parts will work on this. The fingers are stainless steel.
Case is in very good condition as is the guitar.

So I'm cool? Okay I'll buy that.  
Too bad so many steelers have never seen, or more importantly played a Promat.
Very smooth easy action and holds the tuning so well.
The build quality is better than most of the Emmons steels I've seen though some other Emmons guitars are quite good.
I like the tone of the Promat.
Just wish I'd dusted and polished the aluminum a little before I took the photos.
Maybe I'll do that later this week after I finish fixing the old Model A Ford.

| My Promat is a twin to Andy's except for chrome keys. I've not seen or heard Andy's however mine is everything he said about his. It is one of the finest playing and sounding guitars I have. If his is twin to mine in every respect, this is one fine instrument. |

I agree that these are fine sounding guitars.
Very light pedal and knee action and it holds it's tuning very well...
One of the best quality builds I've ever seen.

Did I mention it has Real Emmons chrome fretboards? I put those on it as the original ones were a bit faded.
Surly some of you know how well these guitars were made?
This is a great bang for the $ even in hard economic times.
One of only 27 or 28 that Mr. Papic (RIP) ever made.
At this price I'll be at a loss as the price of these new was about 7 grand and worth every penny.
