Hey Brian:

Did you make this? And why a 20" scale? I've never seen a 20" scale steel.

Thank you Mark. I put it together to take with me to New Zealand . I made it 20” scale to fit in my backpack. It was very useful and enabled me to practice while in the Outback.
Regards rds
Brian

No plans to visit the outback anytime soon, but when I do, I'll be all over this!

In all seriousness, I wonder: Do you play lap or pedal? I'm used to a 22.5" scale and worry that a shorter scale will mess up my slant proficiency.

Thoughts?

Thank you Mark. I did not notice any problem changing back from scale to scale. By the way someone in main saw the advert and this one has just sold. If you need one let me know. I have many parts available and can knock one together when you need it. I would have to order a pickup and a 22.5. Fretboard.

Regards
Brian

Mark, I meant to add that pedal steel is my main instrument. But I have a 10 string lap steel tuned like an E9th pedal steel and am quite amazed what tunes I can play without pedals.
