I use a Fish & Chips pedal to get a decent dobro sound. As is the norm, I dish out the mids on my Nash. 112 while playing regular steel. My? is, are you putting the mids on the amp back up to flat when you use the Fish & Chips?
Is a flat response setting on the amp the best way to go?
We use such a radical setting on the F&Chips.
Do you alter your amp setting to maximize the dobro effect and then change it back when your done with dobro?

I never changed my amp settings when using the dobro sound.

I have a Goodrich Matchbro (original model) simulator and like Steve I don't change amp settings.

A testament, I've had people come up to the stage and look at the equipment and ask "where's the Dobro".

Ron,I’ve used the Goodrich MatchBro and the
Boss GE-7 and couldn’t hardly tell a nickel’s difference
between the two…

I have tried most of them and found they sound okay in a live band setting more than an actual DoBro that is prone to feedback at band volumes.
I have settled on Tom Bradsaw's Resonator because it has more control.
