Eastern European steel is a history of which I am completely uninformed. This instrument is crazy yet cool!

Balogh Géza Hawaiian steel guitar circa 1960. Made in Hungary.

I found a tumblr link to a site with lots of Hungarian steeler pics. Some of these photos seem a tad grim - like they were only allowed to play state-approved notes.
