I wanted to show of my friend's, Bill Groner's tone bar that he made for me.They are wonderful. I'm playing my Gibson Console Grand that I restored some years back. The tune is "I Can't Help It" in C6th tuning. I'm playing it slower than most do. I love Hank Willam's and Anita Carter's version that they perform as a duet, and as a slow ballad. Also, I can not seem to play this tune any faster. The arrangement is mostly stolen from Chris Scruggs. I regard Chris as the best non pedal player in the country field. He inspirers me.

Very enjoyable tone from you, the bar and the console! Just the right tempo. That groner moaner makes those slants look easy! Looking forward to another tune, thanks for posting it.

Kevin, nice job and beautiful guitar. I wasn't aware that Bill was still making tone bars.

Really lovely playing Kevin, The Gibson sounds fabulous and your playing is great. You are the king of the volume pedal for lap steel. So glad Bill got you to make a video...... its been too long since you last made one. You need to do more. I think Bill wanted you to do 10 videos so we can really get the feel of how that tone bar sounds and plays Very Happy !!!!!

Very nice Kevin. One of my favorite Hank songs. You did it justice my friend. Your bar will be delivered today and you will have the unique distinction of owning the very last Groner Moaner to be made. Enjoy it. I have 7 more days till I retire. Look out bass n crappies! Smile

Thank you very much my friend. I’m honored to have the last bar you made. I have one of your first, and now I have your last. That’s kind of cool. I’ll be using them for the rest of my life.
I know you’ll enjoy your well deserved retirement. May you catch all the fish you can.
