Cleaning out a drawer that had these steel guitar slide experiments. They're all quite usable and have low miles.
I've included a rule to give size estimates.
As you might expect, the ceramics are lightest, followed by the glass and then the steel. I digitally lightened the end of the reso bar to highlight the logo. The gray ceramic (2nd from left) has a very slight texture that's hard to capture with a camera. The texture does not 'sound' on the strings. The other ceramic and glass and steel versions are smooth as a politician.
FWIW, I learned a lot about the tone, ease of use and speed I wanted by trying out all of these. It was a good exercise.
$10 ea + $2 shipping CONUS.
I hope that's fair.
The only regret I have about selling these is that I didn't have a hundred of them to sell! You guys were like my Blue Heeler at suppertime.
In the interest of those who also like experimenting, this is what I ended up with...
If I remember correctly, these were made by Glen Porter a member here. They're coated, easy to grip, a nice weight and the coating has NO wear after many hours of playing.
