Hi all - I've been searching electronics suppliers like Mouser and Digi-key, and just can't find a suitable replacement for my Goodrich H10k volume pedal. I want to use a 10k pot instead of the 470k that was in it (desperately needs replacement anyway). But after searching for hours, I can't find anyone stocking audio-scaled pots with long life (~1 mil cycles) in the correct dimensions. I can find part numbers in spec sheets from manufacturers like Vishay, Bournes, TT Electronics, but it seems like no one is carrying the designs I need.
Where do y'all look for parts like this? |

Tom (and I) carry the 470k Dunlop pot that is now being used in standard Goodrich pedals.
I would call Goodrich and ask Kevin what you should do. He might not have them, but I would bet he would know where to buy them. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter. |

There is absolutely no problem in using a 470k pot in the 10k pedals. |

Thanks Jerry, this looks promising!

In a pinch I agree, but a 470k pot introduces >30dB more Johnson noise than a 10k and in a recording setting I'd like to preserve all the dynamic range I can before I squash it with compression and saturation. |
