This C6 tuning is based on the open C tuning common for acoustic blues and metal/hard rock on electric guitars: C G C G C E.

I just added a reentrant “a” on string 7: a C G C G C E. I’ll try to post a sample video once I’ve spent more time with it.

I’m still loving the open C tuning on my “Spanish” electric guitars, but found a different C6 for my lap steels.

CGCGACE

I like it because it gives you the top 4 strings of C6, and a bassy "5" power chord on the bottom 4 strings, in addition to the major, sixes, minors, and minor 7 chords inherent in every C6 tuning.

Any other 7 string aficionados care to try it? Requires a .060 or fatter on the bottom.
