The volume goes way down on my dobro pedal when I engage it, causing me to have to turn up the amp almost full blast.

Any ideas or fixes?

I really don't know if this would make a difference in perceived output level (vs just clean headroom) but you are aware that the Bradshaw pedal runs on 18v, right? Or at least the Resonator II does.

Do you have it before everything else in the chain. I run mine first after the volume pedal with no issues.

Mine was built to clip on the guitar and I ran it first in line right after the guitar. If you were playing a real dobro the guitar would come before anything else.

If it is one of the Boss units with a cover over the slides, Check close the volume slide may have got moved somehow.
