I have for sale a blond, double neck, three legged Gibson Console Grande.
To the best of my knowledge it is a 1948-49 model.
It has 7 strings on one neck and 8 strings on the other.
I believe this is the model that Don Helms played
I have it tuned to E13 on the 7 string neck, with a high G#, and C6 on the 8 string neck.
It is in great shape for a guitar that is 75 years old.
It comes with an original hard shell case, not in the best of shape but it does the job.
I believe it is all original except for the legs.
It came with the legs where you insert them and than give a 1/4 turn to lock them in place, very wobbly.
I installed leg flanges so I could use the screw in legs, a great improvement.
Take a look at the pictures and see what you think.
I would like to get $1,750.00 for the guitar and I will pick up the freight in the lower 48.
Thanks for your consideration. Very Happy
Erv

That's about as good shape as I've seen one - all the original knobs, toggle switch end, tuners, pickup covers, no cracks at the ends of the fretboards - or cigarette burns. . . I put those same sockets on two that I have owned, they work great. And the racetrack pickups are the best!
