Early BMI Serial #004
Early all pull changer
GeorgeL E66 pickup, installed with 1/4 aluminum spacer and double sided tape. Sounds good, 17.5k
Looks to be original case.
It is set up to an Emmons pedal setup A B C
LKR = lowers E'S
LKL = raises 8 a 1/2 and lowers 2 a 1/2
Would benefit from a new set of return springs, what is on the guitar is not matched, but gets the job done.
Will be sold AS-IS Hence the price.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been snatched up already. That’s a terrific price on a professional model guitar. I’ve owned 3 BMI’s over the years and they all were great guitars. Very easy to change the setup, sound great and play smoothly.
Everyone is different, but I’d say that over 95% of what I play I only use 3 pedals and two knee levers. There’s a lot of music that can be made that guitar as it sits, and should be easy enough to add a couple more knee levers if someone wants them. |

| Can you help me understand the return spring issue and how hard it is to correct? I used to own a Stage One and have been craving a steel again, but don’t know much mechanically. 3x2 would be perfect, but unsure about the springs. |

Jason - the springs work relatively well, but I believe a new set of the correct ones would be best to get the most out of this steel.
Dan Burham from BMI can get a set of 10 springs w/ the proper screws for attachment. I am not sure of the cost, but I can't imagine it would be a lot.
They are easy to replace, just need a pair of good needle-nose pliers and a screw-driver for the screws.
It might take a while to get the parts from Dan, so I guess I would have them sent to the new owner if he is interested in buying them after he would receive the guitar.
