I began working with Gene about 10 years ago and we started building our own line of StringBender guitars. This particular guitar is one of our Custom Shop StringBender T-Style guitars:

Lightweight swamp ash body with natural vintage tinted nitrocellulose finish. Seymour Duncan Vintage Broadcaster Pickups.

Parsons White long stroke double (B&G) StringBender, all parts hand made and installed by Gene Parsons in his shop in Caspar, CA. Hand applied flocking in bender cavity by Gene Parsons.

Hard rock maple neck, vintage profile with skunk stripe and with truss rod. Callaham bridge made from .075 inch thick 1018 specially treated stainless steel. Stainless steel saddles for durability and tone

2 CTS 250k solid shaft pots

2 Heavy knurled old style dome knobs

Modern 3 position wiring

Old style round tip switch

.047 mfd capacitor

Vintage style cloth covered wire

Switchcraft jack

Vintage style Bakelite pickguard

Custom Gene Parsons MOP/Abalone headstock logo

G&G hard case included.

Made in USA serial #008

We can ship internationally but would need to quote that price.

Guitar has a little crazing in the finish and a few small dings from guitar shows. Gene charges $2,739 for the bender alone. Guitar is one of our high end custom shop instruments.

This is a high-end custom guitar from the Gene Parsons custom shop, one of only 12 StringBender Custom Shop guitars and one of one 3 Custom Shop double benders.

$6,000 plus actual shipping costs.

Can the G and the B be pulled independently of each other? I can't figure it out from the photos.

Roger: Yes, they are independent. B bender actuates from the strap attachment near the neck as Gene has been doing since he invented the contraption. The G bender is actuated from a second end pin that attaches to a lanyard that attaches to a belt loop.

So....push down on the neck for the B bend and pull towards yourself for the G bender:

Ah, yes - the lanyard to the belt-loop (Glaser pulls the G in that way).

This looks interesting. It might prove too costly for me, but bender guitars are my weakness (I have a Glaser and an Evans - B benders only).

Thanks, Lee.

Yeah, they are addicting and nice to be in business with the original inventor. Gene's benders are a bit spendy but will retain value and his attention to detail and accuracy are unmatched.

Best,
