Hello Pedal Steel Forum,

I am a new member of the forum and have been reading up all about the pedal steel. I recently got my hands on a lap steel and immediately got pedal steel fever. That being said, I got looking at the “for sale” forum and my mind got thinking. If I buy a used pedal steel I have little to no experience in what to look for mechanically. I am reaching out to see if there is anyone in the Charleston, SC area that I could call upon for opinions and possibly a pedal steel setup if I do go the used route?
