I recently acquired a D-10 guitar that came with the original single coil pickups but they aren’t installed. One pickup measures a higher resistance than the other. Which neck would commonly have the higher resistance pickup on it, E9 or C6?

If my old D-10 Emmons #1714 D (1973) is any indication, its factory single-coils measure 15.5 ohms on the E9 neck, and 16.5 ohms on the C6 neck.

Thanks Jack,

That is very helpful. Mine is a 79 or 80 Emmons and if I recall correctly, the pickups are similarly valued.
