Hi and thanks for looking!

Up for sale is my 1996 Sierra session D-10 in super groovy teal green, it has what I believe are the Danny Shields “crap trap” pickups complete with the 3-way tone selector switch for each pickup. It’s a great sounding and great playing guitar, but it doesn’t really get played since I got my Excel, so it’s time to release it back into the wild. The guitar also comes with a a George L’s PFII and tray, the extra tray is 3-D printed in glass filled nylon and slides in and out as smoothly as the factory trays and the glass filled nylon is really strong and durable.

The entire instrument is for sale, complete, with the original pickups.
but if you want a 3-d printed tray to put whatever pickup you want I can see what I can do 😉

Thanks Barry, they really are amazing guitars. I believe in its day it actually far exceeded most anything else, from a technical standpoint anyway. I don’t know of any other guitars made on aerospace machining equipment to this level of complexity and precision. These guitars were something like $5500 in the late 90’s, which is $10,250 in 2023 dollars. I don’t think there’s much else in the world that competes with these mechanically even today, and the ones that do are certainly priced in a similar bracket. Sierra’s are incredibly easy to make changes on, they seem to stay in tune really well, and they don’t freak out when the weather changes. I originally picked it up simply because I’m a big guy and it’s really comfortable to play. I live in Colorado, which is really dry in the winter, so the aluminum body was a no-brainer( no wood=no shrinkage). Cabinet drop is also pretty nonexistent. I better shut up now or else I’m gonna talk myself into keeping it again.

I thought I should mention that I also have a fair collection of Sierra parts available for sale if you want to change the setup on this. Parts are not included in the guitar price, they would be in addition to the price of the guitar. I can certainly sell the parts outside the guitar as well, but I’m not going to pack and ship onesie twosies, so if you want just parts plan big!

Hi Brandson (again)

Any idea of what you need for the parts your selling?

you can just PM me if that's convenient. Might not sell my own if I can get these parts.

Barry

I wouldn't mind getting two pull rods for the RKR to raise the 1st string from F# - G#, and raise the 2nd string from Eb - E. This is on the E9th tuning. I have a Sierra Crown Gearless.
