Do you angle the fretboard away from you (towards the audience) when you play standing?
Seems like I'm able to have flatter (more comfortable) wrist angle thst way.
How about you? |

Me too. Mainly cuz it drives our obsessive compulsive drummer nuts if I don't.  |

Flat. And I switch between standing, and a bar stool, which makes the VP easier.

I tend to lean my steel forward a bit, and I also "lower" the headstock side...much like Casey Olsen, one of Hawaii's steel guitar greats.

I angle all my instrument to ease the wrist. I play the instruments on my lap, so I velcro something under the body to that effect. You can see one example on the modified Blackbird Rider carbon guitar on my You Tube channel.
I installed a wooden contraption under the National also.
For the puppet show the weissenborn is put slightly angled on a stand (I sit on a rolling stool because I have to move from playing to manipulating and back).
I always found the flat position ergonomically wrong. |

| I do! At first simply to do like Jerry Byrd (can't only the thing to do!) and after I realized that its more comfortable and look better for the audience. Probably something between 5 and 10 degrees. |
