Pickup hook up to a 3 way switch

Does anybody have a steel guitar that has a 3 way tone switch hooked up to it I have an old rustler that got a Hume bucket pickup in it the pickup has 3 or 4 wires coming from it I use to use it u would get 3 different tones I on hooked it and put another pickup in it and I didn’t diagram it how it was wired that was a mistake I sure miss it I would put it back in it if some one has a pickup and tone switch like that or could tell me how to wire it back up I would sure apprise it Ty
