I have an old Peavey Session 400 Limited amp (circa 1988) that keeps blowing the fuse every 3rd to 5th time that I may turn it on during the course of a day. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I don't have any information for you about your issue, but if we refresh the post, perhaps someone with electronics knowledge will see it and possibly give you some ideas.

The first thing I would check is your speaker cable(s), as a stray wire shorting intermittently inside the connector could do exactly that. If it still misbehaves with a different, known good cable I would suspect power supply caps, they're probably old enough to replace anyway.

Good luck, no doubt more capable minds will chime in shortly.
