What do you mean by "resonator"?

Erv - in the banjo world, the term resonator distinguishes a banjo with a closed back (resonator) vs. an open-back banjo. E.g., see this discussion here - https://www.thebanjomountain.com/the-open-back-banjo-vs-resonator-debate/
BTW, I gotten gear from Eric - he has really cool stuff. The Sierra is a fully professional mahogany 5-string resonator banjo. They lack the bling of some of the more blinged-out fancy Deerings. If I needed a banjo, I'd be all over this. But I'm banjo'd out at 3. |
