Does anyone have any illustrations or pictures of how Emmons cross shafts connect to the aprons? I believe it's a spring pushing on a small section of metal rod. I've never seen this. I have absolutely no idea since my cross shafts have 0 side to side end play. How deep is the hole in the square shaft, how big the spring, how long the shaft; etc, etc? A LeGrande would be fine also. I'd like a clue before I take a dremel to it. Thx Ron

Ron, I have no idea of measurements of them but you are correct about spring and rod. You can get them out by using a very sharp thin tool or knife. Put pressure on cross shaft and keep working you sharp tool on the little rod that’s spring loaded and you can eventually get them out. Some are harder than others. According to clearance against apron.
