G'day!

Looking for a pedal for reverb/ delay to compliment my Quilter Travis Toy with Tone Block 202. I'm new to steel and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Dave

A lot of guys like the Nux Atlantic Reverb/Delay. It has great quality reverb and delay in one pedal and is simple to use. I like it. Here's a link >>> https://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/nux-atlantic-delay-reverb-effects-pedal?pdpSearchTerm=nux%20atlantic&tNtt=nux%20atlantic%20&tAt=item&tAv=NUX%20Atlantic%20Delay%20&%20Reverb%20Effects%20Pedal

Of course you'll get a lot of choices presented here but this one is big bang for the buck.

Nux Atlantic works OK. I had one, sold it and then had second thoughts and was going to buy another but found a US made Keeley Caverns reverb/delay unit for the same price. I like the Keeley Caverns a little better.

I am also a Keeley Caverns guy. The best I have found so far to my taste. I do not use a lot but I want the original string to be heard above the reverb or delay. IMHO

I like separate pedals for reverb and delay, more choices.
That's the trouble I found with the Boss RV-3. Very Happy

Benado Steel Dream for reverb/delay/overdrive/clean boost. TC Electronics Hall of Fame reverb is my second choice for reverb alone, is less expensive, and has a smaller footprint than the Steel Dream.

I use the Nux (delay/reverb) in of my rack rigs. The other two racks have Hall Of Fame reverbs (one with MXR analog delay, the other with TC Echobrain analog delay). All sound good.

I use an Earthquaker dispatch master which seems to do the job well with a small footprint https://www.earthquakerdevices.com/dispatch-master

For ease of use I have both the Earthquaker Dispatchmaster and the Wampler Ethereal. Like them both.

I like the Atlantic NUX mainly for the tap tempo feature.

I like the nux for the price and the tap tempo, but the tone is limited, like an echoplex. I keep an mxr Carbon copy on a setting I like, but sometimes kick it off to tap tempo a different delay setting with the nux. I have also heard great things about the dispatch master, so I may swap out the mxr for that later. I think it sounds better on the repeats than the mxr or nux

Also, for reverb it's hard to beat the tc Hall of Fame 2. Great presets, and some awesome tone prints you can upload in addition

I keep the same board for steel and guitar, so I have settings that are easy to switch on a gig and sound generally good for both instruments. I like the TC products, and I use the helix phaser a lot as well, but mainly on guitar

After reading reviews here on Earthquaker Dispatch Master, i decided to try one.
I like it! Easy-peasy, one pedal, great results with pedal, lap, and regular guitar, with all my amps. I can’t imagine using my DD3 anymore
