I started working on Stardust for the 12 string eharp tuning. This a rough cut, not a performance, to show how the song lays out on the eharp tuning. But after a day or so working on it I realized I was going to have to spend too much time away from the pedal steel to get it up to performance level, so I'm just putting it up in its rough stage and am going to work the tune out on E9 pedal steel going forward.

Sounding good Bill! That is a difficult song. Very challenging on any instrument. Lots of nice voicings going on.

I understand having to budget your time. I started working on it in A6 after getting the basic chords on guitar. I got pulled back into some folk song arrangements I have been working on and making great progress with those. It is hard to work on anything when your energy is pulling you elsewhere. There just aren't enough hours in the day for everything. One off these days I will master this song.

Stardust is on my to do list to learn on both lap steel & PSG C6. Years ago I used to play it on regular guitar but now I can't remember it.

I have Herb's lap steel version (from "Steeling Memories"s CD) on my steel guitar playlist. Here he is playing it live:

I think his inner neck is A6 but what is his outer neck that he is playing on? F#13?
