Strange bird?

Saw what appears to be a late-1970's D10 6+2 (cut-tail) Emmons p/p for sale. 'Mica w/alum necks, and seems to be in fair shape.

Anyone familiar with it? Can't be too many of this configuration around.

Never heard of a 6 pedal unless special order but I’d be willing to bet some genius removed a couple pedals. Maybe for weight reason or just looked to complicated with 8. 🫣
