i have a couple of these key heads and want to use one to make a left hand sd10 with pad.
they work really well.

Isn't that key head from a pre royal precision by Mullen?
I might be wrong but it sure looks like it.

They are Mullen, but before the Royal. I had a 1993 pre RP that had these machines.

There was a period of time in the early 90s, I believe, where Del was having trouble sourcing machines, so he made his own housings and buttons. I don't know where he acquired the gearing.

Probably Mike knows the whole story.

thanks for the kick-back. since my father has macular degeneration, could not see an image via computer but in person he confirmed they were mullens.
they are in great shape, actually easy to work on. they will be used. i also ran across a couple of sets of early mci heads and they too will be used.
