I bought these 6" square pads for my lapsteels. They work so good, you have to pick up the steel off your legs to move it. The steel will not move by trying to slide it. The ones I got were 1/16" thick and can be easily trimmed with a scissor. I wanted to see how difficult it was to remove it, and it comes off nice and clean. However since it is very thin, it did tear. But you get pretty many in the pack, and not very expensive, so just cut a new one.
