Hello, I play at weekly open mics. Does anyone know of any good songs for solo E9 pedal steel or where to find them? I would like to find songs that I can learn and play solo that are in any style of country or even swing, blues, or Hawaiian music. YouTube videos or just song or album recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks _________________ GFI Ultra D10 |

Do you want to play them on your Multi-Kord? |

Hi Ethan -
Have you considered bringing backing tracks to the open mic, from BIAB or YouTube?
Not exactly country, swing, blues or Hawaiian, Winnie Winston’s “Hymns and Hyrs” from his “Steel Wool” album is nonetheless a beautiful, fairly easy solo E9 piece but it’s for 10 or 12 strings, I forget which.
PS I took “solo” to mean “unaccompanied.”

Some Steel classics like Sleepwalk and Danny Boy might be good.
I play Delta Dawn as an E9th Steel instrumental and most people know it right away.
Maybe pick some tunes that your fan base will recognize. |
