Hi Guys and Gals:
Has anyone had an issue with the RKR lever not coming back to D# after working the lever. It will not hardly stay in tune. You get the #2 in tune to D#, use the lever and it's suppose to drop the D# to D. Seems like a constant battle keeping one or the other in tune. Would appreciate any opinions or comments.

Gracias,

Tom Rhodes

Sounds like an “overtuning” issue. There are lots of posts about that if you do a search.
Make and model of steel would be helpful. How long have you had it, did this problem suddenly appear? Have you recently changed strings or changed any adjustments for that knee lever? Etc etc……

Is it coming back sharp after lowering? If that's the case its a common problem on many steels "Hysterisis".

Also the usual lower change on 2nd string is to lower it a full tone to C# with a feel stop for the D lower.
