Hey y’all, just a heads up. Scott from Steeltronics just worked with me on getting his Z (ZB) style pickup in my Maple laquer MSA Classic, replacing the original Supersustain humbucker.
It sounds amazing! Like a whole different guitar. So much more clarity and character. Takes overdrive pedals well, and I haven’t even wired up the optional coil tap he added…

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows (especially old MSA owners with Supsustain pickups), of which there are many!) about this company and fella. He literally designed a special mount, to attach the pickup to MSAs unique mounting plate from the ground up.
So we have perhaps made the path easier to better tone from these old guitars.

Anyhow, just a quick note before I go back to enjoying this “new” ax.

Scott is a nice guy. I plan on doing a pickup on one of my steels and trying a Steeltronics. Not sure which one. If you can, post a sound clip of your steel. I have only seen one by Scott and another by Eddie Dunlop on a Sho Pro.
