Anyone who paid for the counterforce upon ordering their new guitar will never know just how susceptible (if at all) their guitar would have been without it.

I include myself in this. They may work very well (I barely detect any drop in my 2000 LG111 D-10) but, at the time, the technical blurb convinced me to add $280 to my bill.

Oddly, you see very few D10s with the c/f on both necks. Some, but not many. I guess the E9 tuning with those unwound middle strings is particularly sensitive to the slightest flexing in a guitar.
