Hey Steelers,
I have been asked to play steel guitar for a Halloween concert in October. Does anyone have ideas for Halloween tunes that might feature a steel guitar? I play with both trad. clean tone and blues overdrive. I also play dobro which may another option. I have no ideas. Sad
Thanks!

Before your first tune, play a litany of ghostly wails and noises on the steel ... that'll get their attention ... then launch into your first tune. Tune ideas ...

Ghost Riders in the Sky
I put a spell on you
Witchcraft
Monster Mash
Endless Sleep
Ghostbusters Theme
Werewolves of London
Zombie Jamboree

Spooky is a great one, my band does that song. We just played it last Friday and Saturday nite. Probably play it again this Saturday night!

Also: The Munster's Theme, and you might be able to get away with Peter Gunn Theme or the Batman Theme.

Hillbillies in a Haunted House. Twang.

There's a plot twist at the end.

I haven't opened any of the links above, but I've like Truett and George's "Ghost Dance." Not sure what tuning it would use. C#minor, perhaps?

I learned that one off Roy Buchanan’s first record. Jumping’ Gene Simmons had a hit with it in 1964; the original version came out in 1958.

No steel in this🙁 but it is a Halloween song. I did this for my daughter 32 years ago. She loves Halloween and it fit the times, but it’s still just me.
