Not that it matters too much right now but John was never knighted because he died before it became commonplace to give musicians knighthoods. Paul (and later, Ringo) did receive knighthoods but for some bizarre reason, George was only offered an OBE which he reportedly declined because he felt that he should have been offered a knighthood, same as Paul. And he was right about that.

John plays a 6 string lap steel on "For You Blue" on "Let It Be", as seen in the Get Back movie.

I also have bootleg audio of him in various acoustic jams with other musicians, playing slide on a reso (maybe that one?). Not very good.....but enthusiastic!
