I have an Emmons P/P and broke the return spring on my LKL that lowers my low E. Is there anyone out there within a couple hours of Fort Myers, FL that can do the repair? Thanks in advance. |

The only place I know of is Bondz Music in Wildwood. Its a couple of hours drive north. I75 and SR44 exit.
Both the store owner, Johnny Bondz, and the manager, JR Reich, are steel players.
JR does most of the repairs.

I have taken my steel to Bondz for work. You will probably have to leave it and pick up at a later date depending what is needed. They do a good job |

I had a PP, long time ago. Don't remember that spring but check ACE Hardware as most have a good variety of springs. Maybe find one that will work. Save a trip. |

Alternately, you can steal a spring from a string that has no lowers. You'd need to crank the lower tuning screw all the way in -- on my guitar it has a mix of longer & shorter screws so I don't know which is original or most common -- if yours are too short you may need to bring one to the hardware store and match it with a longer one. |
