Hi Clark,
You may have some trouble finding someone to teach you specifically 10-string C6 lap steel...but the more common 6 or 8 string C6 material should apply just as well to it. I know this isn't the same thing as private lessons, but Troy Brenningmeyer has good C6 videos, across a few different genres. https://www.lessonswithtroy.com/ It seems like a fairly good place to start if you have trouble finding a teacher... _________________ Waikīkī, at night when the shadows are falling

If your goal is to play 10 string C6, learning how to apply all the 6 and 8 string materiel would be very important. Doing this you will be forced to really learn where the notes are and those extra notes will surely come in handy at some point! I am a beginner as well playing 8 string A6 for now. I can't see ever feeling like I need 10 strings for the time being. I think 6 or 7 would probably do it actually, unless I am playing solo style, or maybe if I move to a 13th tuning. |

The Paul Franklin course for 10-string C6 may be what you are looking for. It's a bit pricey, but Paul is a masterful musician and teacher. This demo is advanced stuff. Not sure if he covers it from the ground up or not.
