The shaft that holds the 10 rollers on my key head isn't perfectly straight, making it difficult to remove and put back in place. Not to mention possibly affecting the functioning of the rollers. Does anyone make these new?

My PPs are packed up right now so I can't measure one, but it's standard size (probably 1/8"), and you can use drill rod, A2, or common stainless to replace it. Those are usually available at any hardware store.

Thanks Dave. I'll use the calipers and check it and try the hardware store. Sounds easy enough.

If you’re not going to remove the rollers for service, you can cut the length, dress the ends, back the tension off the strings, and use the new axle to push out the old one.
