I am going to add a half stop on my GFI SD10. The pedal travel on the GFI is shorter than my old guitar. If others have added a half stop does it work OK? Or is it tricky with the short travel?

Where/how are you going to add a half stop?

I don't have half stops, but I have tunable splits on the 5th, 6th and 10th strings.

A pedal. I have had a half stop there for 40 years. I use it a lot. It is a sliding rod with a spring that has a thread and nut for tuning.

How you want to do it should work.

Long or short travel shouldn't matter.
