Selling this beautiful lacquer Zum, serial #D1099959 as I'm no longer playing B6. I'm the original owner and this guitar is in excellent condition with the exception of a couple of finish blemishes which I have pictured, the guitar is 1" under standard height, top of pedal bar to bottom of cabinet is 22". I am not going to ship this instrument due to the high risk of damage, so it will be available for pick up in central CA. I am also including the copedent with a couple of changes as noted, the outside LKL is not connected and is folded up under the guitar, although I will include the rods that Bruce installed so it can easily be re-connected if needed. The original owners manual will also go with the guitar. The cabinet is solid Birdseye maple and sounds as good as it looks, it also has the cabinet drop compensators on strings 5&6 which help tremendously. Case in good shape with wheels and an end handle. No trades please, $6500. More pictures to follow.

Thank you,

Marty

Not sure if anyone noticed this guitar isn’t the same as a new one as it has the modern features like the counter force however the end plates are cast and not machined

Mike - Bruce didn't start using machined end plates until about 2014 !! I have two Hybrids, a 2008 with cast end plates and a 2014 with machined end plates -- both sound fantastic, but the 2014 has the edge !!!

Well, the buyer backed out of the sale after I held it for him way too long, so, she's back up for sale. I could drive a couple of hours to meet up if that would help.

Thank you,

Marty

Stunning Zum Steel at a fair price...
That Birdseye and Tiger striped Maple is to die for! Shocked Whoa! Very Happy
Bruce is an amazing builder.
Bet it won't last very long until it's sold.

No it was in the mid 2000s that he started using machined parts however some later guitars made it out with some cast parts (the lucky ones Smile

If I had 10 more years of playing, I’d buy that. The best sounding Zums to me are the wrap around neck with that little cabinet drop gizmo. At one time, I had 4 Zums including a Hybrid. Always like to play the teal Zum built just like this one.
Good luck on sale, someone gonna get a very nice rig..

Great looking steel for sure.
I guess Bruce went to machined in 2008.
My friend Egil has a Sd-10 #1071 and has cast. Mine is #1072 and are machined. We pucked them borg up at Scotty’s Convention in 2008.
Someone will get a very good steel here. Good luck with the sale😃
