Another Nashville A-Team icon is gone.

R.I.P. Ray. It was a thrill to meet you, a legend and a fellow central Virginian.

Sorry to hear this Tommy. I was lucky enough to play on some sessions years ago that he played on. I didn't know he was a fellow Virginian, Tommy. Great people for sure.
RIP, Ray.

Even as a youngster in England I'd see photos of Ray Edenton with his Gibson L-5 - a constant presence on the Everly Brothers' records and so many others'. I was 13 back then and wondered who all the anonymous faces were in those great recording-session photos: Chet, Hank Garland, Bob Moore, even a glimpse of Buddy Emmons and, of course, Ray.

Through the years I got to realize how integral a part of the A-Team he was. What a great career!

RIP, Ray Edenton.
