Last Saturday I had a gig, and forgot to bring the power supply to my new Telonics vol. pedal. After the initial heart attack, I plugged it into a 9v plug-the same cheap Chinese transformer and daisy chain I use for my other effects pedals and pre-sonus earpiece amplifier thing. It worked great and I was very much relieved.
It says only the included power supply (24volts) will do, but what I had worked fine for some reason. The pedal is growing on me more and more. Just for people to know, in case they are in that situation.
And it's the second time I did that, but then I was able to get back home and grab it. I must have been used to it being attached to the pedal (old Hilton), or just getting older. |

I always had a second Telonics VP wall wart in my pack-a-seat for gigs, the other lived at home. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

I guess if you were able to measure the noise and distortion you'd find they weren't up to full spec, but it's a tip I shall bear in mind - it obviously worked for you.
I wonder if a Hilton would be so forgiving? _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
