I’ve always wanted a ‘67 Emmons as it’s the year I was born. Fortunately, a good friend made it possible for me to acquire this one recently loaded with 8&7. The popular chart shows it to be a ‘66. But reading previous posts by Emmons gurus regarding the accuracy of the chart indicates those listed as ‘66 models aren’t accurate if there’s a D after the S/N, as this one has, and was built in late ‘67. Plenty of time will be spent polishing as well as setting it up to my preferred changes and comfort. But needless to say…I’m a happy camper! 🙂

Always nice to realize a long time dream. Looks like a winner with a complete set up. Should keep you honest for a few years. Congratulations David!

Thanks guys!
Dr. Pippus, it’s not so much the age, but that rough mileage has taken its toll. 😂
Jerry, it should keep me outta trouble for a little while, but no promises! 😂

Nice guitar. I've had many dream guitars and still do. One is the new MSA Tour Pro that's being built for me and the other is a Emmons wrap around. Of course I already have my dream Sho-Bud Permanent. Enjoy that beauty.

Thanks Johnny! That MSA is a beautiful work of art and I can only imagine what it will sound like with your incredible playing! Our mutual friend, MB, made the Bolt On possible. Nice to have generous, humble, and immensely talented friends.
Dave 🙂

Best sounding steel ever made to my ears is metal neck bolt ons.Who cares if it’s a 66, 67 or even 68.
