I attended the ResoSummit recently where they had a reissue Martin, that pays homage to the first acoustic guitar played on the lap. This guitar is the precursor to the dreadnought. It's called the "CUSTOM MAJOR KEALAKAI". I was able to play it, and it sounded beautiful. I also got to hear Jerry Douglas play it! (As always, he sounded great.) A nut riser raises the strings. It's pricy, but nice that they've reissued it - I beleive there aree only 300 made.

Kilin Reece, founder of the Kealakai Centre for Pacific Strings brought it to the Summit. Sales from the guitar go toward building the new Centre for Pacific Strings. (I have no connection.)

Super interesting for real guitar nerds. I made it through most of it. I think there are more than a few around here. Very Happy
