I just bought a Rickenbacher A-22 Frypan, serial #B209. It only has a volume knob on the treble side. No tone knob. The output jack is located on the bass (right-handled player's) side. Rickenbacher medallion on the head stock. It came with its original black case, with a Ludwig Music House medallion on the front. Does anyone have insight into the year it was made?

Pics help and they're fun to look at. Mine's the same and figured it's 33 or 34.

your description of yours describes mine (s/n B 371) perfectly. i can't date it for certain, but have always figured '32-'34.

I believe the tone control appeared in 1937.

Not sure how well a serial number dates these but mine is B174. Lovely badge too.
