My first impression is that is one of the best pedalsteels I have ever come in contact with. I am currently astonished. It has the chime and growl of my old wrap along with a sweet full midrange. Plus when you dig in its like growing saber tooth tiger claws to cut through the mud. The low strings ring and growl while the high strings remain clear, even and sweet.

The even partials of the overtones remain strong which gives it a full solid presence without the stridency that happens when you try to get a good tone with EQ.

Buddy's original design was genius and Kelsey seems to have nailed it without compromise.

Thanks a bunch Bob, glad it's exceeded expectations!
It is our honor here at Emmons to serve our customers by extending Buddy's original design legacy to them, it really does speak for itself!

Now that's a happy customer review. Looks great and tone to the bone. Can't beat that observation.

Accurate, solid and smooth. You can’t push a pedal down with your pinky but if you use your feet it works fine.

Bob, your assessment is exactly what mine was when I played the prototype in San Antonio last year. I think I'm going to sell a kidney so I can get one.

Beautiful guitar! How is the cabinet drop on the new Emmons compared to a typical all-pull steel?

The cabinet drop is very slight. The push pull design is more stable than an all pull in my experience.

The feel of a PP is different. Not better or worse. The new Emmons is indeed a push pull in every way. It’s just an extremely well made one.

Hey Bob,

Congrats on your new horn! She's a beauty. I wish I'd known you were going to be in town. I would have come out to support you.

Let me know when you make it back here to the Georgetown/Round Rock area.

Thanks,

Don

Darin set up the Emmons booth this weekend at Bobby Reeds Stars an steel guitar show at the Troubadour Theater .
Darin brought the first production number one for Steelers to try

Wayne Dahl played this Emmons two sets with Darin on vocals.

Wow both Wayne, Darin an the dirt number one Emmons 65 knocked it out of the park.
