Well another one of my teenage friends that I grew up with in Lubbock has passed away. Jerry Allison, drummer for and one of the original Crickets. The 50s was a great time to be a teenager in Lubbock,,great times,,,Jerry was always beating on the dash of my 49 Ford,,,made it rattle,,,LOL.

RIP Jerry

Sorry for your loss, Sonny. He was a good one! With the beat on Peggy Sue as evidence, I can imagine your dashboard took quite a pounding.

There's Sonny Curtis who wrote "I Fought The Law","Walk Right Back" and many others, and played with Buddy Holly. There's Sonny Curtis the steel player who worked for George Jones. Songwriter Sonny Curtis is still with us at 85, Steel player Sonny Curtis passed away a couple of years ago.

I'm so sorry to hear Jerry Allison has left the building....
