I am considering a Lehle volume pedal for steel. Is there anyone with experience with the pedal who cares to give your opinion on it?

Bill,

I have used the model with the 90 degree jacks for just over a year. I think it's a great pedal, built like a precision tank. What I really like is no tonal change throughout the entire volume range as there is with typical pot type pedals. You don't need a line drive preamp as it is part of the pedal circuitry. It does require a wall-wart power supply.

Should have bought one when they first appeared on the market. IMHO, it's a best best in equipment.

Another satisfied owner. have owned practically all of the powered volume pedals at one time or another (Telonics, Hilton, Goodrich) but the Lehle is a keeper. In place of using a separate wall wart, I configured my effects pedal board to include a spare 9V jumper cable so I simply plug it in and power it from the board.

The Lehle circuits are almost an exact copy of the Hilton volume pedal. Hilton was first!

I’ve used mine for over 2 years. Recently the 9v power input jack broke but my tech fixed it and added a blue pilot light on the side. Now I’m cool.
