What pickups fit in a LeGrande 3 ?

Mine has the Emmons 108n humbucker pickup.

Bob,

As far as I know Legrande III's were built with either the Emmons single coil .. or Emmons 108 humbuckers. The pickup plate is drilled differently for each.

There's a post somewhere by Jerry Roller on how he installed a BL 705 and got enough clearance below the strings.

Generally the BL and George L humbuckers are too tall for a recommended string clearance.

That said, I had a Bl 710 in mine and gigged happily with it for many years ... too close to the strings. There was the space of 1 1/2 quarter coins as opposed to the recommended 2 quarters.

There's also an option of machining the pickup plate but that's not easy.
