Who is the steel player in this image from the 1972 London Rock & Roll Festival? Sorry for the poor photo. I remember this being discussed on the SGF years ago and hope someone familiar with Jerry Lee's career will know. Appreciate any info. Thanks very much.

Must be Charlie Owens. This image taken May 14, 1972, Brussels, Belgium just a few days before the August 5th London Rock and Roll Show.

Thanks very much, Jerry, and thanks for the photo. I agree it's Charlie Owens. I was thinking Ned Davis off the band by 1972.

Kenny Loveless is coming here Saturday, July 16 and we're trying not to bombard him with too many questions.

Skip, The steel player does look like Kenny Loveless. If you look at Jerry Jones's photo, there's a fiddle player behind Jerry Lee, (fretting hand and bow visible on right of JLL and bowing hand and frog visible on left). That's certainly Kenny Loveless.

I'm sure you're right...
I used to see Kenny every now & then when I was playing with Johnny Rivers, when we did shows with JLL. Good guy...nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves.
